Take some time to explore the many opportunities for recreational activities in SLO County.
Adaptive Paddling Program
Collaborates with Central Coast Assistive Technology Center (CCATC) and draws from the professional expertise of a Kayaking instructor and a Physical Therapist to train students in Cal Poly’s Kinesiology 307 course to act as assistant instructors in the delivery of an Adapted Paddling Clinic, which is conducted once the training is complete. The program has grown to include a team of three ACA (American Canoe Association) certified paddling instructors and three licensed physical therapists. We are currently recruiting additional instructors. Equipment for the program has been purchased with grant money, donated by companies within the paddlesports industry, and secured with money from the College Based Fees. For more information, contact Dr. Kevin Taylor, firstname.lastname@example.org.
